Site Visit Committee

In February, a team of eight from the district traveled to California to tour six high schools and meet with a representative from a seventh, to look at best practices in high-performing schools, implementation of 21st century skills, courses, and to establish connections with other high performing campuses.

We toured the following schools:

Palo Alto and Gunn in Palo Alto

Harvard Westlake in Los Angeles

Mt. Carmel, Poway and High Tech High in San Diego (and visited with a representative from Escondido Charter School, as well.)
